Seen as we conceded two against and couldn't beat SUNDERLAND the other week, I wouldn't be banking on us beating Burnley away. However if it comes down to it they might be safe by then.
If it's a winner stays up scenario then I don't know if we've got the heart for the battle.
Hopefully Swansea fail to beat Everton and render all of this academic.

Agree mate. Abject failure on all fronts which could well culminate in relegation. 80 / 1 are good odds. Liverpool and Spurs are desperate for points and we cannot score goals easily now so getting a draw or win at Burnley will be tough.
Relying on other faltering now we are. Having seen us snatch defeat from the jaws of victory countless times over the last 55 - 60 years, I will assume the worst. Admittedly, I make Eeyore and Marvin the Android and Fraser from Dad's Army seem like "happy go lucky" geezers but I fear that the trap door has our name on it once again.
For me, we are relying on Everton turning up but surprise surprise they have just hit a bad run of form and struggle on the road recently :-(
Doomed !!

We 'should' be safe, but I think we still hold the record of being relegated with the most points (42) in the Premier era.

So Burnley is being lumped in with Spurs and Liverpool as a 'tough' game has it on the basis that they are 'really good' at home. In their last 5 home games they have lost 3 drawn 1 and won 1. Hardly a fucking fortress is it

Willtell -- agree, and Burnley don't lose many at home. Dependent upon others failing I think, so much for the big gob that owns our club.

Swansea should beat the Everton that we drew with and win at Sundeland too.

Our saving grace is that Swansea are also unlikely to get another win.

The way Spurs are playing at the moment they will tear us a new one. We will be relying on results to go our way before the last game.

a bit annoying as we created several chances in the last 2 games, if we had bought a striker in jan maybe that would have been the difference in those last 2 games let alone the ones prior
cannot defend our owners they've had a bloody shocker

Let's be honest here. The probability is that we will lose to Spurs and Liverpool, much as I really love it when we get a point or three of either.
Then we might well need to beat the mighty Burnley to avoid relegation...
WH have failed and that is down to the people that run it including the manager. Anyone that doesn't want change is deluded in thinking it sane to keep doing the same thing and hoping for a different outcome...

Beat Spurs and we're 9th !
God knows how. I would be gutted if we finish below Watford, every time i watch them they look one of the worst 3 teams in the league

It's unlikely we will go down but it's possible. Swansea and Hull will be treating all their games like cup finals. Given they've struggled so much all season it's unlikely they will both suddenly find the form to string a set of results together, but it's not out of the question. Remember Sheffield united, thought they were safe in 2007, took their foot off the gas and were relegated as we beat man utd away and they lost to Wigan at home on the last day. With that in mind, we should be approaching every game as if our future was despondent on it, starting this Friday.

If anyone can manage to go down with 7 points gap and 3 games left it will be West Ham.
Swansea picking up some results again just when we thought they had gone. Both Hull and Swansea have Sunderland who cannot buy a point unless they play a team like West Ham :-(
Everton gone off the boil as have West Brom so Swansea have 3 winnable games.
The only chance we have is to try to keep on getting clean sheets with gritty defensive play but against Spurs that probably wont be enough. We have an enormous injury list which will be the excuse no doubt when we manage to get relegated yet again.
I am like Private Fraser and always have been. "Doomed I tell thee.... we're doomed" !

Even if we stay up with 39 points which is highly likely, it's been a far from satisfactory season, players disgruntled, Sakho not wanting to play, Valencia sent out on loan to club currently well above us in the league, Carroll always injured, low intensity in training ( according to the manager)
22 points dropped from winning positions, the most in the league, even if we'd halved that we'd be comfortable.
Poor season lots of room for improvement!
